The entire alphabet of Renaissance initials “bianchi girari”. This Italian style originated around 1400 in Florence, is typical for humanist works throughout the 15th century. It is always composed of 3 colors and a white grapevine.
Painted with hand-made mineral pigments: lapis lazuli, malachite, ochre. The red is replaced with non-toxic artificial vermilion. Gilded with 24kt leaf gold.
